With a no-wrong-door approach, anyone can access support through our neighbourhood hubs and be met with understanding, guidance and the right next steps, no matter their starting point. Neighbourhood Employment Support

Toxteth

Since 2024, with the support of Plus Dane Housing, we’ve been part of the hyper-local UK pilot ‘JobsPlus’, providing tailored support to around 1,000 homes across Liverpool 8. We’re delivering local, practical support designed specifically for local people and their communities. We’ve become a staple support in the area, from helping people return to work after 20+ years unemployed to helping them start their own businesses.

Speke

In 2026, we continued our advocacy of place-based employment support with the help of the Steve Morgan Foundation’s funding; we opened our latest community support hub in Speke. Partnered with South Liverpool Homes and based at Reach, we’re working with internal partners to deliver trusted, person-centred support by meeting local community needs and helping people access sustainable opportunities.

Knowsley

Our Knowsley support is delivered in partnership with Livv Housing, helping their tenants access friendly, practical guidance close to home. We support people with wellbeing, confidence, sustainable employment, volunteering and training opportunities, working at each person’s pace to help them take positive next steps.

Community Research

We believe the best support starts with listening. That’s why we carried out community research across the Liverpool City Region, speaking directly with local people to better understand the barriers they face and what meaningful employment support should look like. Our Community Researchers, all with lived experience of unemployment, engaged with residents in trusted community spaces including libraries, hubs and places of worship. The findings continue to shape our neighbourhood support model — ensuring our services are person-centred, accessible, connected to wider wellbeing support, and designed alongside the communities we serve.

Community Champions

Our neighbourhood projects are proudly community-led, with local Community Champions at the heart of everything we do. By working alongside residents, our champions help create stronger, more connected neighbourhoods where people feel supported and proud of where they live.

The role also gives local people the opportunity to gain valuable experience, build confidence, and develop new skills, all while making a real difference by supporting their neighbours and helping the community thrive together.
