Serena has been with TLC a couple of months now, and has fit right in, working on the JobsPlus pilot with Bev & Jo. Here's a little about our newest Employment Coach.
Can you tell us a bit about your background and what inspired you to join TLC?
I’ve spent the last few years working in employability support, helping young people overcome barriers to work and training. I achieved my Level 6 in Careers Guidance and Development, making me a qualified Careers Advice. What inspired me to join TLC is its commitment to improving wellbeing alongside employment, it’s about creating sustainable change, not just short-term fixes.
How do you think your previous experiences will help you in this position?
My background in Careers Advice has given me a solid understanding of the challenges people face when looking for work and the strategies that help them succeed. I’ve developed skills in CV writing, interview preparation, and confidence building, which will be invaluable in this role.
How do you like to unwind after a long day?
I watch a lot of football, I am a big Leyton Orient fan
