TLC Projects Manager

Overall aims and objectives of the role

To support the Operations Director to oversee the smooth running, performance and outcomes

of TLCs employment and wellbeing projects across Liverpool City region. To ensure all key milestones are met through planning, profiling and monitoring project delivery. Always focussing on meeting peoples’ needs in ways that other employment programmes do not.

 

Fixed term maternity cover position to 31st March 2026

  • Hours: full time, part time or a secondment – we’re interested to hear from you.
  • Location: Liverpool based (this isn’t a remote role), L8, occasional requirements to travel across the City Region
  • Pay: C £30,000

Role

  • To support TLC Employment Coaches to deliver their projects efficiently, to record and report vital data in a timely manner, to help plan, profile and report outcomes, to satisfy funders and commissioners
  • To provide operational and project management back-up to ensure our intensive employment and wrap-around support is effective across the city region.
  • To support the Operations Director in mobilising and planning services on the ground, to incorporate services or activities that support any resident with any employment need, from economically inactive, unemployed, and employed people.
  • To work alongside delivery teams to help them achieve their aims, providing guidance to them on a day to day basis when needed and directed by the Ops Director
  • To line manage a small team using a coaching approach to empower your team.
  • To manage the process of requesting and paying incentive vouchers, in work incentive payments, team requests for funding/purchases to support people on their journey into work
  • To suggest training for the team, to develop a coaching approach to support people to achieve their goals, overcome barriers to employment and wellbeing working towards good progression at work, into employment, further training, education or volunteering
  • To support the Ops Director to oversee the day-to-day effectiveness our programmes/projects, helping to organise, plan ahead, identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • To implement day to day practices to ensure the smooth operation of projects with administrative support e.g. expenses, registration / assessment paperwork, databases, mid point and completion reviews, monthly reports, employment evidence for funding claims where appropriate.
  • Ensure the compliance of all projects following guidance from funders
  • Creating and maintaining processes to ensure projects remain compliant including but not limited to GDPR and funder requirements.

 

Evaluations and Monitoring

To support the Operations Director as advised ensuring all agreed paperwork is completed, for timely reporting to funders

1. Accurate data recording, producing monthly reports detailing progressing to profiles and targets

2. Monitor and accurately record all spend

3. Provide engaging and detailed case studies

4. Attend 1-1 supervision meetings with the Operations Director

 

Communications

1. Collate and produce information to contribute to newsletters, appropriate website material, including promoting through social media

  • You’ve led small teams of people, bringing out their best.
  • You’ve successfully managed projects to meet the requirements of funders in the past.
  • You can easily build trust and rapport, tactfully and tenaciously gathering paperwork and evidence for funders.
  • Your motivation is routed in social impact, fairness and creating opportunity for people to step forward positively
  • Your experience of working in a similar role previously is more important to us than qualifications
